Just 70 years ago, there was a catastrophic war that devastated the earth: World War II. This has been described as the deadliest conflict in human history, with over 70 million people killed. At this time was also an epic and horrific genocide of the Jewish people, where 6 million lives were lost. In our generation, we face a death toll of a different kind, but possibly just as devastating. It is estimated that worldwide, there are 46 million abortions every year. Statistics show that yearly in the United States, the lives of over 1.2 million children are ended in womb.

Something is wrong.

There is a modern holocaust that has yet to be recorded. In the past 50 years, the killing of babies has been integrated into the global conscience, and as a whole, we remain mostly undisturbed! In less than a century, there have been nearly a billion lives lost to abortion.

Something is really, really wrong.

Can we begin to grapple with the implications of innocent bloodshed at this magnitude? Innocent bloodshed is dangerous, because it provokes the Lord to anger (2 Kings 21:3-16). The heart of God is burning with zeal for justice for the unborn. Can the Judge of the Earth remain silent? Surely for our lifeblood He will demand a reckoning (Gen. 9:5; Isa. 63:4)

Right now I believe the Lord is searching for those who will “sigh and cry” over the abominations in our cities (Ezek. 9:4). He is looking for friends who will share in the burdens of His heart. Even today He is extending an invitation to His people. Will you hear the silent cries of the voiceless? Will you be a friend of the Judge?

God is looking for something that could seem insignificant. Tears. He wants us to be emotionally involved. He wants us to mourn and weep: to repent for our sin and stand in intercession for our nation. He wants us to cry out for mercy, because He delights in mercy. He wants us to return to Him with all of our hearts, because He desires our hearts for Himself (Joel 2:11-17; Micah 7:18-20).

The hour is late, but perhaps it is not too late! May the Lord bring about a movement of repentance for the innocent blood that has been shed, and in His mercy, may He wash us from our sins in His own blood.

i found this on another profile and wanted to share it with you. Being only in high school, i don't feel like there is much i can do, but i do more than what i think i can. My classmates joke about abortion. They turn it into a game, and i wouldn't doubt if someone in my school has had an abortion. Please, copy the message above and spread the word about the murder of unborn children. YOu may not see the what your actions do now, but wait until you face final judgment. Can you really face to see the child that you killed before it had a chance at life asking "why? what did i do to deserve this? Did i make you mad at me?" can you really take that? Please, give all children life and be the voice of the one whose parents said we don't want children and it's not even alive yet. Please.
